FAQ & POLICY
What happens during a Reiki Healing session? Each session begins with a brief seated consultation to clarify your focus and intention. From there, you’ll rest comfortably as I guide you into deep energetic alignment using traditional Reiki, gemstone layouts, sound healing, and aura clearing.
After your session, I’ll share intuitive feedback and any insights that surfaced within your energy field. You’re welcome to reflect or share your experience before you leave.
What happens during a 60-minute New Client Experience?
This introductory session is crafted to gently introduce your system to Reiki energy. We’ll begin with a focused intake to understand your energetic patterns and goals, followed by a full-body Reiki session to clear, ground, and restore your field.
It’s a beautiful first step toward nervous system balance, clarity, and self-awareness — and helps us determine your ideal ongoing care plan.
What happens during a ThetaHealing & Emotional Release session?
Theta is a trance‑like brainwave state that occurs during concentration, imagination, meditation, and relaxation. In ThetaHealing, we access this frequency to read subtle energy in your field—interpreting the data your body holds about emotional patterns and beliefs.
This process allows us to identify and release the blocks that interfere with your natural well‑being. We begin by setting a clear intention and identifying one primary area of focus. From there, I guide you through a gentle process of identifying and releasing subconscious patterns, supported by oracle guidance and birth chart insights.
This work is profoundly restorative for emotional healing, self-acceptance, and spiritual alignment.
How should I prepare for my session?
There are no strict requirements. However, to deepen your results:
- Avoid alcohol or recreational substances for at least 12 hours before your session.
- Hydrate well and eat lightly.
- Take a few quiet moments beforehand to breathe, ground, and clarify your intention.
Please let me know if you’re pregnant, have an injury, or need physical adjustments to the massage table.
What should I wear or bring?
Reiki is fully clothed so wear something comfortable to lie down in.
For virtual ThetaHealing sessions, use headphones or earbuds for privacy, and keep a pen and paper nearby for notes or reflections.
What do I think about during a session?
You don’t need to think about anything in particular. If your mind feels busy, try focusing on your breath, engaging your five senses, visualizing yourself receiving energy, and leaning into the shared silence.
You can let me do the energetic “heavy lifting.” The more you relax, the easier it is for me to work within your field.
How will I feel afterward?
Whether we’re using ThetaHealing or Reiki, both invite a deep theta brainwave state. Coming out of that state can feel a little disorienting—similar to waking from a nap—so give yourself time to readjust.
Everyone responds differently. Most people feel deeply relaxed; some feel energized, while others may feel tired or tender, like after a good emotional release. It’s common to sleep extra the night of your session—so enjoy the rest.
The best aftercare is to listen to your body and give it what it needs. You might feel called to journal, spend time in nature, move gently, meditate, or enjoy solitude. There’s no right or wrong way—just notice and honor what arises, like a stream of water in motion.
I’ll check in with you after your initial session to see how you’re feeling.
Is it safe to work, go out or exert myself afterward?
Yes. However, energy work can feel like a deep tissue massage—your system may crave rest or quiet integration time.
Like a detox or cleanse, you might be more sensitive to stimulation, and your tolerance for caffeine, alcohol, or other substances may be temporarily lower. It’s safe to go about your day mindfully and gently.
How often should I receive Reiki?
Every person’s healing rhythm is unique.
- For ongoing care or prevention: once per month helps maintain alignment and nervous system regulation.
- For focused healing or transformation: weekly or biweekly sessions within a Healing Journey Package create deep cumulative results.
I’m happy to discuss a personalized rhythm based on your goals, health, and schedule.
Can Reiki support medical recovery or therapy?
Yes — Reiki and ThetaHealing work synergistically with traditional and integrative medicine. These modalities don’t replace professional care but enhance your body’s ability to recover, regulate, and heal.
Many clients use Reiki alongside medical treatments, physical therapy, or counseling to accelerate recovery and manage stress, pain, and emotional fatigue.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash and Venmo are preferred. PayPal, debit, credit, Amex, and FSA/HSA cards are accepted as well.
To help minimize processing fees, please reserve card use as a backup option. Checks are not accepted.

Yes — though North Park parking can be limited. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time to park and settle. If you’re running behind, a quick text is appreciated; your full session time will always be honored.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee, as your time is reserved exclusively for you.
